SERVICES
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the insertion of tiny needles in to the skin along meridian pathways or muscular trigger points (dry needling).
All initial and return treatments include acupuncture.
Acupuncture can reduce pain, regulate sleep cycles, de-stress the body and much more.
Cupping
Cupping therapy uses glass (fire cupping) or plastic cups to create suction on the skin. This creates a vacuum, bringing blood to the surface or the body and thus encouraging movement and healing.
Initial and return treatments may include cupping if the patient is not contraindicated to it. Cupping can also be separated and done by itself.
Tui Na (Massage)
A form of massage used in conjunction with the other modalities of Chinese Medicine.
Means to push, to lift and to squeeze and focuses on pushing the movement of energy (Qi) through the meridian pathways and body.
Included in initial and return treatments.
Moxabustion
Moxa is a form of heat therapy and is done by burning the herb, Mugwort.
This can be done is many different ways, such as moxa cones (above), moxa sticks, and moxa on the needle.
This modality is useful in the treatment of cold invasions, arthritis and injuries to move Qi and blood.
Included in initial and return treatments when contraindications are not present.
Gua Sha
Tools of different shapes, sizes and materials are “scraped” over lubricated skin. This releases unwanted matter from muscles and produces petechiae (red or purple spots) over the desired area.
Roller tools are also available to be used on the face to help with acne, wrinkles and more.
Included in initial and return treatments when contraindications are not present.
Plum Blossom Needling
This modality uses multiple needles on the end of a “stick” to create rapid and shallow punctures in to the skin.
It is beneficial for skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, tight tendons, upper respiratory conditions and more.
Included in initial and return treatments when contraindications are not present.
Electrical Stimulation
A high or low frequency micro-current is ran through needles in order to stimulate or sedate the flow or energy.
Beneficial to increase the overall effectiveness of points used, to decrease muscle tension or to wake up overcompensated muscles.
Included in initial and return treatments when contraindicatrions are not present.
Auricular Acupuncture
The ear is a micro-system of the entire body and therefore holds valuable information in diagnosing and treating the body.
Small needles are inserted in to these points found on the ear, for a shorter, yet effective treatment.
Also beneficial for anxiety, stress, depression and addictions.
Separate from initial and return treatments.
Ear Seeds
Like auricular acupuncture, ear seeds utilize the micro-system of the ear.
Tape with small black Vaccaria are placed over these points to elicit a long term effect since they can be left on and manipulated at the patient’s discretion.
